About the Mangaka
Okubo Atsushi is better known for his more recent work, Soul Eater. However he also assisted on the older series, Get Backers. B.Ichi is his first independent work where he did both the art and story.
About the Manga
I was in two minds over B.Ichi as it’s by the creator of Soul Eater, which [...]

Finally, a review post! It's been ages since I've done this--almost a year! So today I blabber about yet another mecha show--this time it isn't as flashy as Macross Frontier or Code Geass. Now what made me and my lazy ass to write something?
This is the spin-off to the original VOTOMS series, one that I had read about but hadn't been able to watch. So when Pailsen Files came along, I decided to check it out. (circa 2008)

There’s the front view and the back view, and then some 3/4 views. Accompanying these shots will usually be facial expressions, different poses, possibly different outfits. Whenever I buy an artbook I look for character lineart and design images, prioritizing them over even full posters. They’re one of the main reasons I bought issues of [...]

Shameful Otaku Secret (SOS?) posts a comprehensive and entertaining review of Blassreiter. Among other things, it talks about the role Blassreiter plays in the Gonzo’s foray into the downloads, its style and basic premise, etc. It was quite enough information for me to reject the show with confidence. For some reason everyone else reviewing it [...]

VICTOLY! MAJESTIC! GLORIOUS! IT’S JUST AS PLANNED, AND IT KEEPS ON GETTING BETTER!
It may be late to tell this, but it seems that a certain bastard has quit his promised endeavor halfway through. So much for the group he tried to maintain, he then turns the reins over to someone with better balls, who turns out [...]

Are You The Next Xpert?
In August this year, Xbox Singapore launched a radical initiative to bring Xbox fans together online and introduce newcomers to Xbox LIVE. The Xbox LIVE Xperts program is currently led by local blogger Sheylara, who has become the face of the local Xbox team to help build a vibrant online community. The initiative has generated a strong positive response from local gamers and if you’ve always wanted to be part of the Xbox team, now is your chance to be the next Xpert!
Xbox Singapore is now calling for video entries from potential Xperts and the winner will be announced at X08. Log on to www.xperts.com.sg for more details.
Lara Croft takes on Singapore
Lara Croft, the fearless adventurer from Tomb Raider series is making a special appearance at X08. Featuring the essential characteristics at the core of Lara Croft’s personality -- brawn, brains and beauty - Alison Carroll particularly compliments this iteration of Ms. Croft.
One of the top draws of X08, Tomb Raider: Underworld is the first Tomb Raider game designed to fully reflect the physical athleticism and real-world skills required of a world-class adventurer. Sharing Lara’s strength and grace, Alison is an experienced competitive gymnast who has performed and competed across the globe. Her more than 12 years of gymnastics training align perfectly with the game’s enhanced movement set and you can expect some high-kicking action at X08!
Hot Rods, Hot Babe
Get your picture taken with 2007’s Miss Maxim and Singapore’s Champion Motorsports Car when you bring your Xbox 360 copy of Midnight Club LA to the IAHGames booth. And stand a chance to win a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle (the same one featured in the game) if you pre-order Midnight Club LA before 23 Oct.
Well, thats about it about this announcement of X08.. For more info, click here.. Hope you will join everyone including me to the event at end of October.. See you there.. ^^

Is the most eighties thing I have seen yet, even more so than Do You Remember Love? and Zeta Gundam. The show itself basically says that the eighties were the most perfect time in human history for piece and love. Apparently no one remembers the Reagan presidency, but for a bubble-boom Japan I guess things [...]

I’m happy my expections didn’t amount to nothing. FUNimation’s been disapointing me lately but I’m actually happy with Ouran’s dub! There’s a lot of weird stuff to it but I’m happy overall with it. Particularly the voice acting.
(By the way, I watched the first two episode up on FUNimation’s website.)

I am very happy with my new chosen theme: Arthemia and I hope everyone else likes it.
I just have a few more things to do such as fixing the banners and a few minor improvements/removals but they should all be done in the next few hours.
So enjoy

The propreitor of The Scrumptious went to a local convention… This passage was chuckleworthy:
The maid café became the main attraction of Anicon 2008, thanks to the cute meidos in the place, and the café was filled with pedobears in no time! According to biankita, the pedobears were making the maids sing, dance, etc. Of course [...]

Like Ryan, I noticed that most raws are awful, and fansubs look much better. In particular, AFK’s Lucky Star was much better than its raws (although it was also better than competing fansubs). I blame the rat race to publish the raw.

What a strange title but anyway. Haha this show is win! It’s like my new Higurashi or something xD It’s also really amusing because the lead male is a total kimo-ota. DVD thinpack covers? Beautiful. DVD faces using same artworks as covers? Absolutely gorgeous. It’s nice to see DVDs that look so beautiful.
That’s what I thought, too. But now, a question is burning me: is the cover “sexualized”?
I had to watch this episode three times (over three days) before I started to appreciate it. In [...]

Bonertown and I go on for an hour on how useless Code Geass season 2 was. Lots of spoilers abound, as usual, so listen with that in mind. This one isn’t just filled with spoilers for Code Geass, though– it has Death Note and Gundam 00 spoilers, as well. There’s also a BIG Cowboy Bebop [...]
