Priscillia catches up to Deneve and Helen. The epic clash is on for real now. Summary: Helen and Deneve watch in shock as Clare is absorbed by the dark mass, and before disappearing Clare says something that's only heard by Deneve. Helen and Deneve are still trying to comprehend what happened when Priscilla suddenly shows up and demands to know where Clare is. Helen and Deneve attack Priscilla, but Priscilla easily pins them down for questioning. Helen and Deneve eventually reveal what happened, but Priscilla has a hard time believing Clare is dead. Suddenly, Priscilla is suddenly attacked by the black tendrils and this allows Helen and Deneve to escape. From a nearby hill, Uma and Cynthia watch in amazement as the previously expanding black mass suddenly turn towards its centre. Cynthia senses that Deneve and Helen are in the middle of the mass, and Uma, Cynthia, and Dietrich (who looks a bit beat-up from her battle against the spike monsters) head down to save Helen and Deneve. At the centre of the black mass, Priscilla is tired of being attacked and clears out a radius with her own tendrils. Priscilla then declares that since the black mass killed Clare, she'll destroy the black mass. Meanwhile, Helen managed to carry Deneve to relative safety, but due to her injuries Deneve has trouble controlling her yoki and begins to transform. Fortunately, Uma arrives in time to help Deneve calm down and regenerate her right arm. Helen and Uma wonder about why the black mass is turning back, and Deneve explains that Clare seems to be controlling the mass. Cynthia confirms this by detecting Clare's faint presence in the middle of black mass. As the black mass whirls around in front of the warriors, Deneve states that Clare indicated to she purposely let the mass absorb her so she can stop the mass from spreading and use it against Priscilla. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The Priscilla vs. Luciela/Rafaela showdown is still on schedule, but Clare has gotten herself involved in a rather unexpected way. Letting herself be absorbed by the black whirling mass in order to stop the mass, take out Priscilla, and save her friends... I don't know how Clare intends to get out of this and regain her own body, but she has to somehow since she is the protagonist. Priscilla still looks invincible despite taking a considerable amount of punishment, and so even the power of Luciela/Rafaela might not be able to stop her. Even if the black mass can defeat Priscilla, Clare still has to regain her own existence and that's no cakewalk either. This is probably the worst scenario (as in lowest chance of survival) the Clare has encountered in the story, and it'll probably take some miracles for her to survive this. Miracles there shall be, I suppose. As for the other characters in this chapter, Uma's new found healing skills certainly came in handy for Deneve. Dietrich seemed to won the battle against the spike monsters, but it's unclear what she did with the Abyss Feeders that were originally helping her. With the clash of two titanic powers, Deneve, Helen, Uma, Cynthia, and Dietrich probably won't be able to do much more than stand and watch, but I guess they might enter the fray to retrieve Clare if Clare ever emerges. I wonder if Miria and company will show up on the scene, but at this point of time they won't be able to do much either. From the feed of A Product of Wasted Time
