Finally, I got to write posts on anime again, Finally, I got @leolaporte’s pic once more, …and Finally, Summer 2012 Anime Season’s here. This Week in /Watchlist/, I’m going to talk about the latest anime that I have watched - whether it’s from the Spring Season or the past. I did suffer a lot of trouble during these past weeks (either inside or outside the school) but nonetheless I have survived. Also, happy birthday to a certain friend (and yes, with his company of friends, we did a recording not talking about “Cosplay Conservatism” but “being scared that Philippine Cosplay will be doomed to bits”). Now, let’s go to my usual list of anime that I have watched until the end (or perhaps until the end of its 1-cour segment). Jormungand - I am looking forward to the second season of this show. I thought Ugo will die and the ending would be bad, but because everything should end like hell yeah crazy, the group of 3 were thwarted. Also, the name of their boss is Dominique. Next time on RtO, he’ll be there — in the persona of a certain Meganekko Fan. Two thumbs up for this show… as for Koko and Valmet, go have some fun while taking a season break. Accel World - …is still the action-packed anime that I watch. Two things in mind — Scarlet Rain and Yellow Radio. Niko still has her crazy maniac expressions. Akira Ishida still has his evil persona. Taku still has his glasses. Kuroyukihime still falls asleep sometimes, and Haru still wakes her up (by shouting things and such). Yellow Radio - screw you Kawahara. There are lotsa names in this world but why did you pick “Yellow Radio” for a name? It’s so Yellow (in my biased political sense) to me. So evil. …and Niko, you’re so awesome. I would like to meet Rina Hidaka and ask her if she can mimic Niko’s facial expressions. So epic. The Final Episode of Sakamichi no Apollon is as dramatic as it is. Not to mention, Kaoru’s “conventional but raunchy” behavior towards Ri’ko. Kaoru’s now a doctor, that carefree classmate of his is an artist (read: Showbiz personality / Star, etc.) and Sentaro is now a priest-in-training at a church atop a slope in a small island. So, their dreams came true and they met again in that slope. Then I saw the ending and it looks familiar. Good ending for a good story. Sakamichi no Apollon is on my recommendation list. No questions asked. The recent episode of Hyouka that I have watched features Oreki finishing a script for a student film (as asked by a certain Irisu). Irisu was impressed with his skills. Oreki says “I was just lucky”. Irisu tells Oreki a story and relates it to what he had said. I scratched my head. So, here’s how the story continued: Oreki has finished investigating the film (with the help of his friends over at the Classics Club). After the screening, he was told by Ibarra Ibara “there was no mention of a rope in there”. Oreki was surprised. Oh snap. The rope. WHERE IS THE ROPE?! Saki: Achiga-hen - Teru is teruble. I also watched some anime way older than the ones above: Tegami Bachi Academy (four-minute shorts coming from the Letter Bee Reverse DVD set) City Hunter (the 80’s anime series) Yakitate!! Japan(as recommended to me by @Solidad) …and now since I have my mobile rig (that is also my productivity rig), I can now watch anime outside of the keyboard, therefore saving me time sitting infront of the computer. By the start of the Summer 2012 season, I am hoping for one that is unique to me (aka similar to my tastes). I do have low hopes for the next season, although I expect that I might be wrong in my expectations. So that’s for this week in /Watchlist/. Hope you enjoyed my spanking new layout.
