A Gabriela Robin Site: Animelo 2008

May’n with Dancers
I’m finding it hard to find extensive news, footage or videos about this event, especially those that pertain to AKINO’s or May’n’s performances. I’ll update as soon as I find more info.
AKINO performed Sousei no Aquarion and GO Tight!, while May’n performed Northern Cross and Don’t be Late. No May’n and [...]

じ――ン@アマギゴエ: [Seiyuu] Appreciating Makino Yui

A familiar name, yeah? I know her most as Sakura from Tsubasa Chronicles, Hazuki from Sketchbook, and Misaki from Welcome to the NHK. Not to mention theme song performances for those aforementioned series, as well as Sousei no Aquarion’s 1st ED and, my favorite, the OPs for the ARIA series. But I never knew that [...]

I’m not sure what this is, all I know is that the titles “Sosei Shinwa (Genesis Star Myth)” and “Rohatsu Gyakuten (Departure Reversal (?))” are Aquarion titles that I have never heard of before. Someone please enlighten me by figuring out what the Aquarion Official Site says about it.

Masaaki Endo covered the highly popular eponymous opening theme to Sousei no Aquarion in his all-anime covers album entitled “ENSON”. If the name rings bells, it’s probably because he provided the vocals to Cowboy Bebop’s “Live in Baghdad”.

Omonomono: Macross Frontier - The Aquarion Generation

There's something special about Shoji Kawamori's works in anime. It's almost like how I approach a George Lucas work--I would overrate it, entranced by its glossy appearance, and eat its candy-like nutritional content in large bites.

I think as much as we can enjoy Macross Frontier, we have to thank his guinea pig that is Sousei no Aquarion. Looking back at the paper trail, I realized I kind of missed the opportunity to really jot down my thoughts on the show...

A Gabriela Robin Site: AKINO’s Live Performance of Sousei no Aquarion

It’s really a interesting to hear singers’ normal speaking voice. AKINO has one of those full, thick voices associated with RnB singers.
AKINO makes a pitch for her solo album and other live performances. She’s so genki!:

And now here’s the live performance of Sousei no Aquarion, with Bless4:

And the live performance of Genesis of Aquarion, with [...]

Nigorimasen!: Aquarion Only Kickoff ‘07 Series Without A Firm Release Date

Last night, I was browsing through the top song charts of various countries’ iTunes Stores and I was surprised to find “Sousei no Aquarion” by Akino, the first opening theme to the anime of the same name, on the Japanese chart. I then thought to myself, “Hey, wasn’t that one of Funimation’s Kickoff ‘07 licenses?” [...]
