Kekkaishi We may have a little bit of advance notice on a Comic-Con announcement (or not), but Fanboy Review claims that a dub for the anime adaptation of the Kekkaishi manga is in the works. It's a Shogakukan title, and VIZ already has the manga, so it would be easy to assume that they'd get it-- on the other hand, D.Gray-Man was a Shueisha title, but FUNimation nabbed the anime, so who knows. Besides, I had an interesting conversation about shows that were dubbed and subbed in anticipation of licenses that never actually came out, so even if FR's s00per l33t insider info IS correct, that doesn't necessarily mean the show's definitely been picked up.FR has this mysterious note, also, saying that “based on some further information, I believe the license holder to be Viz or a company that we don’t traditionally think of as an anime company, but that isn’t confirmed (officially OR unofficially.)”I'm not at all sure I'd call VIZ someone we “don't traditionally think of as an anime company,” but there are certainly a few that I can think of-- Sony, for example.Anyway, we'll see if/how this pans out.
