The epic battle between Whitebeard's forces and the Marines is actually starts.I'm not too sure what happened in this panel. What's with all the "!!!?"Summary:As the tsunami closes in on Marine HQ, Aokiji jumps up and freezes the surrounding sea with an Ice Age attack. Aokiji then goes after Whitebeard but ends up being shattered by the great pirate. As both sides open fire with their cannons, Whitebeard's band of captains are matched up against the Marine vice admirals. Meanwhile, the Shichibukai Hawkeye decides to test White Beard with a powerful slash, but the attack is blocked by Whitebeard's third squad captain Diamond Jose. Kizaru jumps in and fires some lasers at Whitebeard, but the beams are blocked by the blue flames of first squad captain Marco.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~We are into the preliminary match-ups. Given that there are so many powerhouses on either side, I wouldn't be surprised if this big battle turns into what Bleach has been for last ~50 chapters. The big difference between this battle and the one in Bleach is that in Bleach we have seen all of the good guys before, but in this battle we are seeing a lot of new characters from both sides. It's basically two groups of strangers (from the prospective of the reader) and start fighting each other, and I wonder if the match-ups will be enough to hold the readers' attention. In other words, will we really care about these guys who appear out of nowhere? Hopefully the fighters on both sides will have interesting tricks. Luffy is nearby though, so the story can change direction quickly (unlike Bleach where Ichigo is still stuck in Lala-land).
