Unfortunately, the girl he has a crush on adores the little fuzzbutts. One day he kicks an empty can and accidentally smacks the local guardian deity of cats, who puts a curse on Junpei: he must grant 100 wishes from cats or turn into one himself. Fortunately he was given one little ability to help out-- he can understand what cats say.Now, as a cat-lover myself, I rather like the idea of seeing a cat-hater get his comeuppance. On the other hand, Junpei's actually allergic to cats, and as far as I can tell, his family still owns one-- that sucks! But it looks like it could be a cute show, if not the next ZOMG AWESOME! piece of animation, so I suppose we'll see.
