It has been awhile since we heard anything about Gurren Lagann, so I thought it would be a swell idea to bring it back to help give us all a little dose of some much needed spiral power. Remember Gurren Lagann’s fancy eyecatches they would use before and after a commercial break? Well, this WTF Wednesday is going to be about them, but not feature them. Did I confuse you? Don’t worry, a Gurren Lagann eyecatch does not need to have anything related to Gurren Lagann within them, just have that special Gurren Lagann eyecatch style. Which includes all of the following: Bold lines, bold colors, enormous spiky lens flair, and high contrast shadows. It’s one of those, you know it when you see it kind of things.
