Asuka battles the mass-production Evas while Misato brings Shinji to the elevator to Unit 01.The last kiss Shinji will ever get...?Summary:Inside NERV headquarters, Misato crashes her bullet-hole-ridden car into a wall near Unit 01's elevator. Before leaving the vehicle with Shinji, Misato phones Asuka in Unit 02 and tells Asuka to destroy every single mass-production EVA. With 3.5 minute of battery life left, Asuka springs into action and rips apart one of the enemy EVAs.Back inside the base, Misato brings Shinji to a doorway leading to the elevator but they are fired at by government troops. Misato is hit but manages to get herself and Shinji through the doorway and lock the door. Now in front of the elevator, Shinji starts doubting himself again, but Misato manages to shut him up by giving him her necklace and kissing him on the lips. Just as the government soldiers are about to breach the locked door, Misato shoves Shinji into the elevator and shuts the elevator doors.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I don't remember that Misato had to drive Shinji in her car to Unit 01, but otherwise the manga story continues to fall in line the End of Evangelion scenario. It's looking more and more likely that this manga version is just going to finish with the EoE ending with slight differences. Not much else to say at this point. The next couple of chapters will probably be on Asuka's battle against the mass production units. Let see if Asuka and Unit 02 will suffer a similar fate to what they experienced in the movie.
