Whitebeard's forces attempts to get to the execution platform.Take that, you pesky bird!Summary:As the pirate forces clash against the Marines and Shichibukai, Whitebeard is confronted by Aokiji but Aokiji is knocked aside by Diamond Joz. Meanwhile, Luffy tries to get to Ace but he starts to run out of gas and is battered by some Vice Admirals and Kizaru. Kizaru kicks Luffy into Whitebeard who hands Luffy off to his medics. Luffy is still full of spirit, but his body is unable to continue. Whitebeard is then confronted by Akainu and the fighting continues to heat up. While everyone else has their hands full, Marco tries to fly up to the platform to free Ace, but he is punched back to the ground by Garp.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~It seems Luffy is really out of gas now. I think it might have something to do with the boost hormones Ivankov gave Luffy back at Impel Down. The effect of hormone is probably starting to wear off and Luffy, who still haven't completely recovered from his fight with Magellan, just doesn't have the strength to continue. I can't really foresee Luffy being out of the fight for an extended period of time, so maybe he'll ask Ivankov for another shot of the hormones or somehow recover quickly to rejoin the battle. Now that Luffy will be out of it for a while, Whitebeard will probably have to pick up the slack. Teh other notable development in this chapter is that Garp have inserted himself into the action by knocking Marco away from the platform. It appears that Garp is taking the Marine's side, but we don't know if he is going to actively go after Whitebeard's forces or just guard the platform. I'm guessing the latter.
