We live in troubled times indeed. Once again two children have been caught in possession of a Death Note. The Oklahoma City Friday newspaper has let the world know of the tragic story of two students from Andrew Johnson Elementary school who were caught red handed with a notebook with the phrase “Death Note” scribbled across its cover. Inside there were two names written, one was to be killed by “shotgun shell in her hand” and the other, “shot by a sniper.” Good news is that both children who’s names were written in the book are still alive today, evidence proving that this Death Note was in fact not real. Though detectives are playing with the idea that the two pages that were written on inside the Death Note could of been taken out of a normal notebook, as a means of throwing off the investigation, or some bigger conspiracy. Upon discovering the notebook and a confession from the children, the principal contacted the police; though it is unknown if it was an action out of fear, or just following protocol. It is unknown what the police did at this point, some say these naughty children’s names were written in the Death Note as a part of some bigger conspiracy; while other’s state the children’s names were written in the police version of the Death Note, known as a Police Note. Is this once again the cause of troubled children copying what they see on television, or a terrorist plot by Shinigami themselves to throw off life in the real world; the world they can no longer live in?
