While I was recording the Squadcast and various other goodies yesterday a whole bunch of anime announcements started piling up on my desk, so let's see if we can't chug through them now, mmmmkay? Eve no Jikan Word here is that Eve no Jikan-- also known as Time of Eve, which you can watch on Crunchyroll --is offering a bonus DVD for those who preorder tickets to the upcoming film (a remixing of the six-episode series with new footage). The bonus DVD has a trailer, an interview with Rina Satou (who plays the lead, Nagi), and some pilot footage. ( Via SaiAni) Gackt mo IsshoThe 4koma gag manga Tono to Issho ("My Lord and Me," or more accurately "Along With My Lord") was already getting a short OVA, but now it's going to have a bonus episode titled Gackt mo Issho. In it, hot gothy Jpop star Gackt will appear as himself, and they will tell the tale of how the anime staff got him to do his own vocie in the OVA, in which he plays Uesugi Kenshin (a historical warlord that Gackt played in a live-action drama earlier.) ( Via 2ch) Ookami to Shichinin no NakamatachiNo relation to Ookami to Koushinryou (aka Spice and Wolf), this light novel series revolves around a high school girl with a "fierce" look and unusually sharp teeth who is of course given the rather ridiculous name Ryouko Ookami (where "Ookami" is "wolf"). Ahem. Anyway, she becomes pals with a sweet, innocent-looking girl who, of course, is nothing. The two unite to change the world! ( Via Moon Phase) Soukyuu no Fafner: HEAVEN AND EARTHVery little is known about this project, but what we do know is that it's a 2010 return for the 2004 mech anime Soukyuu no Fafner: Dead Aggressor (released as simply Fafner by Geneon back in the day). The story takes place in a future where alien attacks have devestated the earth except for a single Japanese island which had an advanced cloaking shield that protected them...until one of the aliens finds them. ( Via Moon Phase) Yutori-chanHere's an unusual experiment: Biglobe is going to release a new original anime, Yutori-chan, via e-mail. Don't worry, they won't be attaching a giant video file to each e-mail; the e-mail will just contain a URL for each episode but the story is about a young girl who works part-time for a toy company's marketing department. It should be no surprise that this anime is about marketers, since it's pretty clear they developed this idea: in addition to the episodes there will be special mini-games and dramas, and a few more unique items: wake-up calls, character chats, etc. Sounds cute and starts in March! ( Via SaiAni)Okay, who's interested in what? Yutori-chan actually looks really cute, and as a once-marketer myself I'm interested to see how their innovative delivery plan goes. Content-wise I'm a bit more interested in Fafner and Ookami to...all that other stuff, which look cool and funny, respectively. How about you guys?
