Whitebeard dies. The fact that his backside had no scars also meant nobody was able to sneak up on him from behind either. Summary:After the Marines ID some of Blackbeard's crew as Level 6 prisoners from Impel Down, Teach explains that the whole reason he signed up as a Shichibukai was to break these notorious pirates out of jail. Lafitte also explained that he hypnotized the Marines at the Gates to open up for any ship, and that was how Blackbeard's ship and Luffy's ship got through. While Sengoku is thinking about how to deal with the situation, Whitebeard makes the first move and attacks Teach. Teach cancels out Whitebeard's earthquakes with his devil-fruit power, but Whitebeard slashes Blackbeard in the shoulder and slams him to the ground. In response, the Blackbeard Pirates shoot and stab Whitebeard many times until they are out of bullets. In his dying moment, Whitebeard thinks about a conversation he had with Gol D. Rogers and with his last breath Whitebeard announces to the world that One Piece does exist and its discovery will change the world. Whitebeard then passes away but remains standing.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Whitebeard is dead. We all saw this coming a long time ago, but it finally happened. In his last moments, Whitebeard revealed that One Piece really exists, and that will have a profound effect in the world of One Piece, although it might take a while to see the results. With Ace dead, Whitebeard dead, and Luffy in a grief-induced coma, the battle at Marineford is likely almost over. Whitebeard's allies are more concerned about escaping right now, and that leaves the Blackbeard Pirates to face down the Marines. Blackbeard Pirates' surprise return really got things going in this chapter. It sounds like Teach is after One Piece as well, and he might have broke out the people from Impel Down to in order strengthen his crew and increases his chances of finding One Piece. I wonder what's going to happen from now on. Might be almost time for that rumored time skip.
