<spoiler 'show="" spoiler="" for="" bleach="" chapter="" 396'="" 'hide="" spoiler="" for="" bleach="" chapter="" 396'="">Why does Aizen even show his shocked face? Not only was he ultimately unaffected by Yamamoto's attack (what a waste), he also appeared to be pretty much immune to anything Ichigo could throw at him thanks to the Hougyoku in his chest. He might as well just have had an "I Win" button. Probably the only way to defeat him now is for someone to pull out an equally powerful plot device to negate or cancel out the Hougyoku. On that note, where is Urahara these days anyway? He seems like the perfect person for that. Anyway, the rest of the chapter with Aizen explaining how all of Ichigo's growth was just as he'd wanted made me laugh and shake my head. It's too quintessential bad guy just-as-I-planned, and it's not like we need any more examples of how all-power and all-knowing Aizen is. If he were really smart, he'd just kill Ichigo outright and stop this nonsense. But since he hasn't, I suspect that this is going to lead to Aizen revealing something like how he had planned all along to use Ichigo and Ichigo's power to get to the key or king. </spoiler>
