Chapter 605 begin with Luffy still wanting to take on the Kraken, and the rest of the crew begging him not to.  Their attempts to change his mind are fulite, even after the ship that attacked early returned only to be easily crushed by one of the kraken's tentacles.  The kraken then turns it's attention back to Luffy's ship, the crew fratically thinks of ways to combat the kraken, but most plan would pop the buble and kill them all.  That is when the captured pirate makes 3 air bubbles around Lufyy, Sanji, and Zoro.  The 3 then set off to take care of the kraken, but leaving without thier lifelines, as they think it would just get in the way.  The kraken then starts it's attack on the ship, with Franky and Chopper defending the ship while Luffy, Sanji, and Zoro make thier attacks.  Sanji strikes first by running out of his air buble and kicking the kraken with tremendous force.  Zoro follows suit by cutting off some of the kraken's limbs, with Luffy then stating he wants to kraken whole.  With this Luffy's gear 3 attack elephant gun is ready, as he nails the kraken.  A mysterious shark emerges from the kraken right before everyone is taken by the undersea current and pulled into the depths.  The ship is then shown in the dark undersae, with many strange creatures, and Luffy, Sanji, Zoro, and the kraken missing......
