Hello again everyone, After some rambling about the new series, let's go creating a new review talking about a light novel/manga/anime series that is currently airing on japanese televisions. (and had a previous season too) Its name is "To Aru Majutsu no Index" and is based upon a light novel series written by Kazuma Kamachi. Let's go ahead with a synopsys : Toaru Majutsu no Index is set in Academy City, a technologically advanced Academic city located at western Tokyo which studies scientifically advanced superhuman students with powers, but is also set in a world where magic is real. Tōma Kamijō is a student in Academy City whose right hand, the Imagine Breaker, has the ability to negate any supernatural powers, but also his own luck. One day he finds a young girl hanging on his balcony railing named Index. She is a nun from Necessarius, a secret magic branch of the Church of England, and her mind has been implanted with the Index Librorum Prohibitorum—103,000 forbidden magical books the Church has removed from circulation. His encounter with her leads him to meet others from the secret world of science and magic and an adventure with his friends where science and magic collide. Tōma's unusual power places him at the center of conflicts relating magicians and science-based espers in Academy City. As Tōma tries to help and protect his friends, he learns the people he knows are not as they appear and begins to attract the attention of magicians and espers alike as they try to unravel the secrets of Academy City and Index. Yes, this is a quite original story and it is pretty much followed in the anime adaptation! The quality in the storytelling is high, but if I have to point one problem is the infinitely long Touma speeches every now and then. About the characters...let's start by saying that the main character Touma is sick. Yes, he is afflicted by the "harem" syndrome, every living girl that looks a little attractive is going to fall in love with him, no matter what! (Kuroko is the only exception, but she has only a marginal role in the story) The characters are all likable, including our main character. There are plenty of girls to choose from in this anime (well it has a Harem component after all), so you'll have to choose who's your favourite. There is some growth in some of the characters during the series, but nothing special. (Kanzaki Kaori seems the most changed over time) The seiyuu in this anime aren't the most famous, but do a good job portraying the characters and their emotions.  The sound track is fantastic, I loved most of the songs proposed in each OP and ED. (I love Mami Kawada's songs so maybe we'll do another post on this later on) Concluding this is an anime that you should see, just don't be too irritated by Touma speeches and you'll be mostly fine. There are 2 season of 26 episodes each so you'll have plenty of material to watch. Ah forgot to say it, but yes my favourite is Itsuwa of the Amakusa Church!!! See you soon, feal87
