Mifune vs. Hanzo continued, and Ino-Shika-Cho vs. Azuma.
Stop dragging down the team, Choji.
Summary:
After slicing through Hanzo, Mifune reminds Hanzo about how their last fight ended. In the last fight, Hanzo broke Mifune's blade and sliced the samurai in the head with his poisoned scythe, but Hanzo decided to spare Mifune's life because Mifune never gave up on his faith and tried to protect his comrades even near death. In the process, Hanzo also explains that he implanted the venom sac of a poisonous salamander within himself and that he wears the gas mask to protect himself and others around him from the poison. Back to the present, Hanzo finally remembers and decides slice open his venom sac. Kabuto notices this from his control station and tries to override, but Hanzo has sliced of the sac and is paralyzed by the poison, allowing himself to be tied up and sealed.
Back at the rocky shores, Ino-Shika-Cho are having trouble against Azuma mostly because Choji can't bring himself to hit zombie Azuma.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mifune vs. Hanzo was pretty boring, but at least it's over. So Hanzo used to be a somewhat honorable guy... good to know I suppose, but he hasn't had enough coverage in the series for us to really care. Had to hand it to Hanzo for paralyzing himself to disobey Kabuto, but otherwise it was an uninteresting fight between two unimportant characters.
With Mifune vs. Hanzo out of the way, we are moving to Ino-Shika-Cho vs. Azuma which should be better at least from the emotional and drama standpoints. As expected, Choji is the one dragging the team down, so the fight will probably end when Choji finally sucks it up and helps Shikamaru and Ino tie Azuma down, and Azuma will likely pass on because he's proud of his students.
