Some history about Queen Otohime and the Sun Pirates.
Slapping sense back into people who have lost their way since becoming queen.
Summary:
16 years ago, Queen Otohime went around Ryuuguu Kingdom slapping misguided people, advocating peace with humans and a plan to migrate to the surface. At the same time, Jinbe was serving in Neptune's Army and didn't care much for Otohime's proposals, while Arlong went around being a pirate and Fisher Tiger was off on another adventure. One day, Arlong was bullying a soldier collecting signatures for the Queen's plan to migrate to the surface which led into a confrontation with Jinbe, but suddenly Fisher Tiger returns reporting that he had attacked the Celestial Dragons. And thus Arlong, Jinbe and all the other slaves Fisher Tiger had rescues left the kingdom with Fisher Tiger and formed the Sun Pirates.
Back to the flashback from last chapter, the Sun Pirates annihilated the Marine forces that were sent to take them down.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A flashback chapter that mostly laid out the background info for the history segment. We finally saw Queen Otohime and she was a bit more... eccentric than I imagined. I though Shiraboshi's mom would be someone who is elegant but strong-willed, and I suppose Otohime qualifies somewhat but the slapping thing is kind of ridiculous. I guess it's all in the spirit of One Piece, especially with some of the crying and snot during the slapping scenes. Other than the introduction of Otohime and her goals, this chapter a little bit on the origins of Jinbe and Arlong, but not much on the famous Fisher Tiger himself. The real story leading up to Otohime and Fisher Tiger's deaths is still to come though.
