Ema plaque reveals next Lucky Star Project! "Lucky Star" fans got a tantalizing clue of a forthcoming project after a prayer tablet bearing a message for them was found at a shrine that features in the anime series. The wooden "ema" plaque was apparently inscribed by manga author Kagami Yoshimizu and left at Washinomiyajinja shrine in Kuki, Saitama Prefecture, in the past few days. The message said an anime adaptation of "Lucky Star" spinoff manga series "Miyakawa-ke no Kufuku" (The Miyakawas' hunger) is in the pipeline. The ema also bore an illustration of two characters from the manga series and gave the name of Yutaka Yamamoto, director of the "Lucky Star" anime series, although his involvement in the new project is unknown. Fans quickly heard about the tablet after a flier distributed locally by the Washimiya chamber of commerce referred to its existence and monthly anime newsletter Saitamania, which is issued by The Saitama Shimbun, reported the story. "Miyakawa-ke no Kufuku" is currently being serialized in the Comp Ace monthly comic magazine. As was its predecessor, the spinoff manga is a four-panel comic strip. It revolves around new characters Hinata and Hikage Miyakawa, two sisters who were introduced in the Nintendo DS videogame "Lucky Star: Moe Drill." The pair also appeared in the final episode of the "Lucky Star" animated series. via ASAHI http://ajw.asahi.com/article/cool_japan/anime_news/AJ201301170056
