There's finally new developments in Nodame Cantabile: Paris Hen!! Lately, there has been a lot of focus on the relationship between ♥ Nodame and Chiaki ♥ and it's getting a little boring. This week, it's back to Music! Life is no longer smooth sailing for Chiaki and he faces his first major test in Nodame Cantabile: Paris Hen. Rui makes her appearance and meets up with Chiaki. She enters the same conservatoire as Nodame and it's easy to guess how Nodame reacts to her. XDThere are much to look forward to in future episodes. ^^Episode 6Deschamps Orchestra was looking for young talents and they had both Chiaki and Jean performed side by side. Jean was selected.Elise, a Jean fan, is very happy about that. (haha.. what an evil laugh.. poor Chiaki!)Even though Chiaki loses out on the Deschamps Orchestra's conducting job, Elise has another conducting job for him. It's Roux Marlet Orchestra. Stressman had been a conductor in this orchestra in his younger days. James Depriest (Right), the next music director of the orchestra, requests for Chiaki to be the conductor.Chiaki brings Nodame to Le Blanc Theatre for Roux Marlet Orchestra's performance.Chiaki is very disappointed with their performance. A few of their regular musicians quit just before the performance and the orchestra had to find extras to stand in.Rui appears in Paris and looks for Chiaki. She gives Chiaki a kiss on his cheek.Seeing that, Nodame immediately jumps on Chiaki and bites him. (LOL)Chiaki invites Rui to his room and Nodame begins acting like his wife Again! (hallucinating Nodame! =X)Before Rui leaves, she asks Chiaki to help her find a place to live in. Chiaki agrees and she gives him a goodbye kiss, which is..not very well received by Nodame!The next day, Rolan looks for Chiaki and asks him to be a stand-in violinist for Roux Marlet Orchestra. Rolan thinks that this is a good chance for Chiaki to learn more about the orchestra he is supposed to conduct for in the future. He even offers his dad's old glasses and hard wax to help Chiaki disguise. (Rolan is really helpful!)Chiaki is being introduced by Rolan to Roux Marlet Orchestra members as Nissan Toyota!! (LOL.. that really cracks me up)The orchestra is performing Ravel's Bolero in 3 days time (one of my favorites!! ^^).Before the actual practice, Chiaki plays it solo on the violin and he impresses the other members. However, the concertmaster interrupts his play and asks Chiaki not to get too excited just because he can play. (=/ what a spoilsport!)The practice is then canceled because the conductor went back to Poland.Rolan suggests Chiaki to be the conductor for the upcoming performance, which is in 3 days, since Chiaki will be the Official Conductor soon. The concertmaster rejects because he finds Chiaki amateurish.However, another orchestra member decides that Chiaki will be the the conductor because he is Young and Cheap!When Chiaki reaches home, he receives a call from Elise about the Roux Marlet's conducting job.Knowing the real reason behind his appointment, Chiaki feels depressed. However, he motivates himself to do his best and the episode ends with him preparing for the upcoming conducting performance.
