Touma and Index go to the beach but things become strange when people start switching bodies.Full Summary:Touma's recent activities have attracted too much attention, and as a result he is ordered to go on vacation by Komoe-sensei. Touma and Index end up in a seaside city and staying in a shoddy inn. After learning that Touma's parents and cousins are coming along, Index starts asking Touma about his family but Touma can't answer because of his memory loss.Index turning on the charms. Sparkle sparkle.Index: I heard that jellyfish is good for your skin.Touma: It's the other way around!!! *screams in pain*Touma's plan to get Index in the mood with some pr0n backfires.Touma's dream of being with Mikoto finally came true.The restraints are understandable, but what's with the Hannibal Lecter mask? Touma is violent but he doesn't bite. The mask is probably more applicable to Index since she's a biter.The next day Touma goes out and meets the man who is supposedly his father. After meeting his dad, Touma is shocked that his "cousin" turns out to be Mikoto, and his mother is now Index. Meanwhile, Index has been replaced by Touma's friend Pierce and many other familiar faces appear in unfamiliar roles. Touma initially thinks that everyone is playing a big joke on him but after a while he realizes that something is wrong.Index tries her hand at being a pin-up girl......and unfortunately so does Pierce."Yes We Can" ... have Kuroko as the President of the United States.Misha to Touma: Don't make fun of my costume!!Touma is angry because Motoharu ate all the shaved ice.As Touma takes a walk to think about what's going on, he runs into a blond girl in a strange costume. The girl threatens Touma with a blade but Kaori Kanzaki and Touma's friend Motoharu appear to explain that Touma is not the culprit. The blond girl is named Misha, and she's a magician from the Russian Church organization "Annihilatus". Touma is understandably confused about what's going on and so Kaori explains that somebody is trying to use a spell called "Angel Fall" which causes people around the world to switch bodies. Both Kaori and Misha are trying to track down the culprit, and both had suspected Touma because he doesn't seem to be effected (due to his Imagine Breaker). After the magic lesson, Kaori and Motoharu speculate there might be more than one magician involved given the large scale of the spell. Touma interrupts their conversation because he doesn't understand how Motoharu knows all this and about his "Imagine Breaker", and Motoharu reveals that he is a member of Necessarius.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~We are on to the fourth volume of the light novels, and this episode wasn't really a beach-episode as the previews indicated it to be. The first two-thirds of the episode was pretty hilarious with Touma becoming angry and confused about everybody switching bodies. Yes, it was pretty silly and there was plenty of fan service, but at least it was fun and it's easy to understand what was going on. Pierce as Index in a swimsuit, Index as Touma's mom in the really revealing swimsuit, and Kuroko as Obama ("Yes we can!") were the highlights of the body-switching segment. The way Touma responded with angst was pretty funny as well.Things became more serious and a little boring after Kanzaki and company appears to teach the obligatory magical lesson to Touma, but the fact that Motoharu is a member of Necessarius is pretty interesting (that is if I didn't read Wikipedia first). As a member Necessarius, Motoharu was at one point a magician, but now he s in Academy City studying to be an abilities-user. The obvious question is why did he give up magic to develop his ESP abilities? Anyways, it looks like the good guys for this story arc will compose of Touma, Motoharu, Kaori, and the Russian magician Misha. Currently the prime suspect for "Angel Fall" is the guy who is supposed to be Touma's father, but maybe there will a couple of other bad guys as well as Kaori and Motoharu have speculated. One more curious fact was that Stiyl was affected by the spell while Kaori and Motoharu are not. Shouldn't Stiyl be immune since he's also a magician of Necessarius?
