A new girl! This is a refreshing. So far, most characters, who Natsume has contact with, are guys (humans or youkai). It's about time for Natsume to hang out with some girls.Also, more people are becoming aware of Natsume's special ability. This is a good thing as this has helped Natsume to gain more friends. I hope that Natsume will eventually tell his guardians about it.Anyway, the ending is a Cliffhanger!! Ahh.... I want to know what happens to Natsume!!SummaryIt's dinner time and Natsume makes his way to the big field near his house to fetch Nyanko-sensei. Nyanko-sensei is busy catching sparrows so that he can tie them to himself and walk on air. (haha.. wishful thinking) While Natsume is lying on the field waiting for Nyanko-sensei, he overhears 2 small youkai talking about drawings on the ground. He immediately stands up and sees a circle on the ground nearby. While speculating what the circle is, Natsume hears some noise. When he turns around, he sees a girl, who happens to be his school mate, drawing a similar circle. He shouts and asks her what she is doing. The girl is shocked to see Natsume and immediately runs off after uttering Natsume's name.That night, Natsume has a dream. He dreams of a terrifying youkai who threatens to eat him if he does not perform a certain task within 360 days. Natsume wakes up with cold sweat. While brushing his teeth, he sees his name on his chest. However, the words disappear almost immediately after. He can't help but think that this is related to the girl he met the day before.In the afternoon, a youkai, with a big head and mustache, pays Natsume a visit. He shares with Natsume his experience with the circle and seeks Natsume's help. According to the mustached youkai, when a youkai steps into the circle, it can be seen by everyone. The mustached youkai then immediately pulls Natsume out of the house and to the big field to find the culprit.At the big field, Natsume finds the girl drawing circles again. When she sees him, she tries to escape but Nyanko-sensei stops her. The moment she sees Nyanko-sensei, she uncontrollably gives him a big hug and even says he is cute. After she calms down, she introduces herself as Taki Tooru. She shares with Natsume about the circle and the reason why she must draw circles. Around a year ago, she saw a terrifying youkai through the circle. The youkai asked her to find itself within 360 days. If she can't, it will eat her and the last 13 persons whose names she uttered. Upon hearing all that, Natsume finally understands the meaning behind his dream and promises to help her.The search for the terrifying youkai begins. The only clue they have is the mark on the youkai's forehead. Taki continues to draw circles while Natsume asks the youkai around for clues. When Natsume is by the river with Nyanko-sensei, who happens to have just fallen into the river, the terrifying youkai appears. Natsume disappears with it and when Nyanko-sensei is out of the river, all he sees is Natsume's bag.PicturesHaha.. Nyanko-sensei is fantasizing about flying.Natsume's dream!
