Possibly just a giant homage to the GAINAX classic Daicon IV, End of Evangelion is like a giant, planet-consuming 'Screw You' to people who bitched about the original series' ending. Without a doubt, this film isHideaki Anno and GAINAX's magnum opus and remains the kind of film to me that is just... untouchable. I doubt I'll ever see something that compares of lives up to End ofEvangelion.
