Way back in late November 08, when I was getting back into anime through moe, I made the post Cruel Moe Thesis on Oi, Hayaku! about how someone reacts to and gets into moe. I also wrote my Moe Starter Guide over at We Remember Love. What came up in both posts was that I consider Evangelion not only to be moe, but the epitome of moe. This got some people questioning me and others interested, and at the time I made the promise that I'd 'do a post on the moe in Evangelion' before long. Well it's been sitting on my 'long list of post ideas' forever now, so it's finally time for this shit to come to life. And since it's something that will be very extensive, I feel this is the best way to do it - with live people to discuss it with, question my ideas, and help us reach a conclusive answer to the question: Is Evangelion moe?
