What if you had a hell of a butler? Kuroshitsuji anime series is an adaptation of the works of Yana Toboso. The anime series is also known as Black Butler and is made up of 24 episodes. It was produced by A-1 Pictures Inc. and premiered in October 2008. The plot takes place near the end of 19th century in England, during the Victorian Age and centers around two main characters, Ciel Phantomhive and his butler, Sebastian Michealis. After losing everything precious to him, Ciel strikes up a deal with a demon to help him find those responsible for ruining his life and take revenge. In return, he offers his soul to the demon. Hellbent, he continues on his investigation of his parents gruesome murder and the search for his parents killers with the help of his one hell of a butler.There were some very significant loopholes in the plot of the entire series, it was as if they did a rush job to bring it quickly to an end. Several questions I had in mind while watching the anime was still left unanswered. However, all the action and suspense in the series more than makes up for it. The characters are also very different, not your typical klutzy master and his horde of reliable followers. All the characters also had a certain charm that pulls at you. The art is also very beautifully done. I especially loved the costumes. The music reflects the overall feel of the anime and was carefully chosen to fit in the various scenes.
