The final thing I want to talk about in this arc is that Hayate is too nice. I think the reason for his unluckiness isn't because of his birth but that he is too nice and is too easy to control and take advantage of. He has the common sense to survive the world but he doesn't have the personality to really say no to people he's "cool" with. I think that type of skill is a must in the world. But in a way, butlers are stereotyped as people who obey everything their master tells them to. So maybe that kind of personality was just merged into his being. Anyways, he gave 1 million yen to a bunch of random people just because he happened to have seen them suffering. It was really nice and great of him to do that . I mean, in the end those people he helped gave Maria back Hayate's money. I thought that was pretty cool, but because of Hayate's fantastical mind of being pessimistic with money, he never really got the money back. The better outcome out of this was really what I have been talking of the whole previous two paragraphs: sticking with Hina.
