Moetron reports on word from the latest issue of Megami magazine that a new season of Kanokon is being developed . The new season apparently decided to take a page from the Sailor Moon playbook-- the new season is tentatively going to be called Kanokon R. For the time being, we don't know if the continuation will hit TV or if it'll be an OVA, but with that “R” slapped on the title I'm thinking they might want to go OVA, so that they can go further with the fanservice Kanokon is famous for. Natsu no Arashi , on the other hand, is definitely getting a second season on TV , according to 2NN. And this announcement sort of got shuffled to the side over the weekend, but if the sci-fi romantic comedy of Natsu no Arashi doesn't appeal, how about the mech fantasy of Asura Cryin' ? It's getting a second season, too .Interesting-- I noted that there seemed to be relatively few sequels coming out this summer in Japan, but it looks like the sequel cycle was just in an ebb-- and is getting ready to flow.
