Ichigo continues his training session with Jackie.
Lame spinners are no match for thigh-high boots.
Summary:
As Ichigo and Jackie continue to train inside the fish tank, Chad arrives at the Xcution apartment and asks Ginjou about Tsukishima's abilities. Back inside the fish tank, Ichigo is getting kicked around a bit as Jackie either dodges or shatters the spinners Ichigo launches. In the process, Jackie reveals that her kicks become stronger as her boots become dirtier, hence the name "Dirty Boots". Jackie isn't impressed with Ichigo's efforts and continues to attack, but Ichigo was actually taking hits to lull Jackie in for a counter-kick. After kicking Jackie, Ichigo states that he has a ton of street fighting experience to go along with his shinigami fighting experience. Suddenly, something strange starts happening to Ichigo.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Not much going on this week once again with almost the entire chapter devoted to Ichigo's training fight against Jackie, and unfortunately the fight wasn't all that entertaining. Jackie gets her boots dirty and kicks... that's about it. No real development on any of the other fronts whatsoever. This chapter confirms that Ichigo's current spinner attack sucks, but he seems to be learning how to move really fast (something to do with Bringer Light). Something else is also happening to Ichigo at the end of the chapter, and hopefully it'll lead to an upgrade to Ichigo's powers. It's kind of sad to see Ichigo with his sucky spinner attack right now.
