Tamaki reveals the Deadmen to the world.Summaries:In his office, Tamaki gets a phone call from military official Major Aohi, who is concerned about all the media focus on Deadman Wonderland, but Tamaki tells Aohi to just sit and watch the debut of the "Forgeries".Even though Ganta already has Shiro and Minatsuki, he continues to flirt with other girls.Meanwhile, Azami and other prisoners are preparing a show in the prison. As Azami trains her armadillo Kincho to jump through a flaming hoop, she is surprised to see Ganta clapping at the trick. It turns out all of the Deadmen have been released from G Sector and are allowed to move throughout the compound, and most of the other Deadmen are hanging out on the surface. Ganta hangs out with Azami and Kincho, and as Azami wonders if Ganta is a Deadman, a group of prisoners snatch Kincho and tosses the armadillo onto a pole where it becomes stuck. In order to get Kincho down, Ganta shoots the pole with his Branch of Sin and causes the armadillo to fall into his arms, but the use of the Branch of Sin causes Ganta chest pains. The other prisoners are frightened by Ganta's display and run off, but Azami stays to talk with Ganta. Azami hands Ganta a star-shaped band-aid to patch the wound on Ganta's fingers, but Ganta uses the band-aid to patch the cut on Azami's right hand. Azami gets embarrassed and tries to resume her training, but suddenly she gets a bad headache, and so she tells Ganta to look after Kincho while she goes to the doctor's office.Sick and nasty. That's what Deadman Wonderland is all about.Later in the day, Ganta is training with Senji and Shiro in a room, but Ganta's chest hurts when he tries to use his Branch of Sin. Shiro tries to manipulate her blood as well and manages to get a reaction, but both Senji and Ganta's attentions are turned to the TV screen where Tamaki is making a public announcement. In his announcement, Tamaki confirms the existence of the Deadmen, but he states that the Deadmen are nothing more than savage beasts and Deadman Wonderland is doing society a service by locking away these monsters. To drive home his point, Tamaki puts on a public Carnival Corpse that pits a burly looking man against a person wearing cape and mask. The burly man forms spiked balls on his hands with his Branch of Sin and charges at the masked opponent, but the masked person sidesteps him. The masked competitor then forms a large snake with his/her blood and bites the burly man on the shoulder. The burly man thinks nothing of the bite at first, but the bite mark is soon covered by bulbous growths. The masked competitor touches the growths and causes the burly man to explode into a shower of blood and body parts. Most of the people watching are shocked and disgusted by the display, and Chief Makina realizes Tamaki is just trying to justify his own brutality. Meanwhile, Ganta notices Kincho reacting to the masked competitor, and he notices the star-shaped band-aid on the person's right hand.Shortly after the Carnival Corpse, the masked competitor is brought to a room full of masked prisoners and the Doctors reveals the competitor to be none other than Azami.Meanwhile, Ganta and Senji are wondering about the masked competitor when suddenly Sakigami walks in and states that the masked competitor is a manufactured Deadman.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Wow, I didn't see that one coming. Instead of trying to quell the rumors, Tamaki just announces everything to the public and justifies his cause with a brutal Carnival Corpse. It's a pretty gutsy move, although I have doubts that the public will just tolerate Tamaki's inhumane experiments, and it'll be a huge scandal if the link to the military is revealed. Regardless or whether Tamaki's move makes any real-world sense, it looks Chief Makina's plan to spy on G Sector has been effortlessly brushed aside, and also Tamaki has found a somewhat reliable way to manufacture Deadmen (as foreshadowed by the last page of the previous chapter). Azami and the other prisoners seem to be first batch of the "Forgeries" and Azami's powers look pretty sick, but being the first generation there're probably flaws in these Deadmen's bodies. At this point I really doubt Azami will survive until the end. I wonder what will the original old fashioned Deadmen like Ganta and Senji will do now and which way the story will go.On another front, Sakigami has finally shown himself in front of Ganta. Sakigami looks like a pretty devious guy and he knows the truth about Shiro, but he doesn't seem to be aligned with anyone. It'll be interesting to see what kind of role he plays in the story.
