Ahahah, Fujioka-kun showing off his Bancho credentials. While it had its funny parts, I think they dragged it a bit too long this week. I mean, it was just pretty much 17 minutes of Fujioka being super beta about his feelings towards Kana…. Next week looks like more of the same. Hopefully the episode will [...]

Another week means another serving on misunderstandings and stupidity courtesy of Minami-ke.
With the winter over and summer on its way, the change in season turns thoughts towards such seasonal affairs such as swimming and swimsuits - who knew Chiaki wouldn't fit into Haruka's old swimsuit? Can Haruka keep up with the latest fashions in swimwear? - as well as what to do over the summer

This episode begins with Chiaki getting bummed out because a swimming class will be taking place later in the day (if you remember, Chiaki can’t swim) . Mako-chan is finally back in his usual dunce role. Although his part to play was pretty subdued this episode.
Part 1: Chiaki. Outsmarted.
Chiaki’s apparently not a big fan of the pool because she can’t swim. So she impedes the cleaning efforts by taking control of the hose, rationalizing that “she who controls water, controls the pool. [...]

Makoto, Yoshino, and Uchida confer and come up

"The pool" is a staple part of pretty any anime series diet, especially when it comes to slice of life shows, so I can't pretend that I was exactly shocked to see an episode of Minami-ke Okaeri focusing entirely on swimming pool related shenanigans.
If I'm honest, the whole thing started in a rather mundane fashion - It's a hot day, but Chiaki's class have to clean out the pool ready for use at

Mako-chan’s underwhelming return.
Summary:
Chiaki’s class has pool cleaning duty, but Chiaki refuses to help because she would not benefit from it. An enthusiastic Makoto still believes that he would make a spectacularly clean pool without Chiaki’s help, but she soon interrupts her friends by entering the pool with a running hose. This has Makoto, Yoshino, [...]
