Blackbeard makes a big move.Everyone with the earthquake power just has to take a shot at Marine HQ.Summary:Thanks to the camera Buggy's group was operating, Whitebeard's death is aired on TV screens around the world. As everyone else on the battlefield is still trying to take in the fact that Whitebeard has died, the Blackbeard Pirates spring into action and they cover both Blackbeard and Whitebeard with a black sheet. Meanwhile, the remaining pirates are trying to escape but they discover that the nearby sea has been frozen again by Aokiji. Akainu also reemerges and demands that Jimbei hand over Luffy, but Jimbei is ready to defend Luffy with his life. Ivankov then appears from behind Jimbei and attacks Akainu with a Hell Wink.Back to the Blackbeard Pirates, Blackbeard and Whitebeard's body reemerge from underneath the black sheet. The Marines can't figure out what happened since Whitebeard looks the same as before, but Blackbeard quickly demonstrates his accomplishment by hammering the nearby Marines with his own Black Hole and Whitebeard's earthquake attacks. As the Marines and Whitebeard Pirates watch in shock, Marco explains to his comrades that Blackbeard is a freak and therefore can somehow obtain more than one Devil Fruit power. With Whitebeard's powers in hand, Blackbeard declares to the world that his age has come.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~With Whitebeard and Ace dead, I thought there was nothing Blackbeard to do drive up the story once again, but boy was I wrong. I totally didn't expect Blackbeard would steal Whitebeard's power AFTER Whitebeard has been killed. In stories where characters are distinguished by their powers, the character who takes other people's power is always a device that the author can insert to make the story more exciting, and Oda has chosen an excellent moment to make this insertion. Whitebeard's earthquake power is arguably the most destructive power in the series, and there is no doubt Blackbeard is more powerful now that he has the earthquakes. However, I'm not too sure if it's enough to take down the World Government and all the other pirates. It's true Blackbeard has gained the most powerful attack power, but his defense is still weak. Blackbeard has shown himself to be a durable guy (still standing after a slash and smash by Whitebeard), but the damage is going to add up. I guess it'll depend on how powerful the rest of Blackbeard's crew is. Also, I'm guessing that the magical “haki” will be the key to defeating Blackbeard if he becomes one of the predominant villains. Haki seems to be key to beating anybody lol.The focus is now on Blackbeard's next move. Is he going to try and take on all the Marines and destroy Marine HQ, or does he have something else in mind?
