Video Games too much?
Accel World is like an upgraded .hack/ to me (although I haven’t watched .hack/, I know the synopsis somehow). It’s like I’m an NPC watching a n00b trying to take on enemies.
The first episode of Accel World treats the viewers with dosages of too-much-to-take anime storyboard syrup. It’s like SUNRISE made this but they didn’t reveal it to the viewers. I even forgot that I watched the first 2 episodes of this (I was thinking of a long 40-minute episode). How’s that for a start?[[MORE]]
From Gaia Online to Special Forces Online without guns
Meet Arata Haruyuki. Aside from he’s physically challenged, he’s emotionally challenged (like me when I was in Grade 6 — I think you don’t want to hear me go dramatic so I’m leaving it as such). The normal being-bullied type of kid.
When it’s lunch time, he surrenders to the bullies’ whims… until one day the normal female character showed up to him and beat his tennis record. The next day, she sends him a program which eventually put him into a breeding ground fortrolls other accelerated avatars in a way similar to fight club. …Eh, not really, but the thing is, Arata has a chance to prove himself that he wins in all games aside from Tennis.
Of course - there’s one thing (aside from the girl) - he needs to fight for survival. Oh you two (referring to Ohara and Yoshino, the director and writer of the series), you didn’t fail to make me remember that series called “Mai-HiME,” of which I got my first anime love. Maiiiii~!
Setting aside that, I feel squashed by the fact that I will think about this later in my resting place (aka house) at night and try to understand this one scene-by-scene. Since the writer has a bad raps for The Indispensable Guilty Crown, I am not expecting that this is a good anime. *looks at Baka-raptor’s chart*
This is good for…
…you. Yes, you bastard who does not believe in yourself, you must watch your fellow survive from the suffering (like Madoka, etc.) and learn lessons from it in order to survive the urban jungle. Just sayin’.
Rating (Baka-raptor Scale): ++.
