I’ve decided to name these two Forehead-tan and One Liner-tan. If you look at them, you’ll see why. That said, this episode was quite entertaining, but I have to say, not much development happened...

Junichi helps out Rihoko’s and her Tea Club at the founder’s festival.
Impressions:
I was quite surprised with how fast this episode is moving in the timeline of things. The actual character development itself isn’t really moving that fast, it’s fairly average for this series as far as progression between the two but timeline wise, they are [...]

Kimi wa dare to kissu wo suru? I expect this to be the next Sea Slugs poll.
Having accomplished so much in the first two episodes, this time the Rihoko arc took it easy and wrapped up almost all the sidestories going on and got everything ready for the conclusion next week. There was also a [...]

Junichi helps out Rihoko, his childhood friend.
Impressions:
I was surprised by this arc right from the start. Although I didn’t quite know what to expect from Rihoko’s arc, all I knew was it would involve her being his childhood friend, that’s not what I was surprised about. Rihoko just seemed like some weird quirky girl but [...]

As a thank you for helping them out, the tea club invites Junichi for some traditional tea under the blue sky. But it’s too cold outside so they go back in. After a bit of tea and small talk Junichi and Rihoko head home together. They go to a café and Rihoko holds back on [...]

Junichi helps Ai with her swimming clubs stand and the two are able to be closer than ever.
Impressions:
I was saying this pretty much all throughout this arc, and I’ll say it again because the conclusion does nothing but help me in this conviction but I have absolutely loved Ai’s arc, I think so far it [...]

The Founder's Festival might be over (again), but Rihoko's arc rolls on (that wasn't me making a fat joke by the way) - not that it really has all that much of note to bring us, if I'm quite honest.
Still, if nothing else Junichi seems to have become quite popular with the other members of the tea club, and indeed he seems to be rather enjoying the club himself as he becomes quite the tea addict

Episode 19 – Succession ヒキツギ(hikitsugi) After the third episode of this arc, I’m still baffled as to how AIC plans on wrapping up the Junichi x Rihoko relationship. Rihoko was cute and all, but it still feels too much like they are simply childhood friends; the only signs of a potential relationship is when Junichi [...]

Rihoko is now committed to her diet. As part of her effort to lose weight, she is exercising on a skating rank to burn off some calories so she can lose weight and win over Junichi’s heart. I still have a gut feeling this is not going to work. The beginning of the episode where [...]

Summary: Interestingly, Kanae chooses skating for the double date, hoping to capitalize on Rihoko’s body and clumsiness. In some ways it works, as a stumbling Rihoko nearly runs over a little kid before being caught and accidentally groped by Junichi. A split on the ice later, and Junichi’s got her body on his mind as [...]

If it looks like a boob, feels like a boob, then it’s a boob! That said, this episode was pretty funny too, but not as hilarious as the last one. The best part about the episode were the tea club...

It is almost hard to believe, coming on the heels of the disastrous Ai arc, the things are going so exceptionally well in the Rihoko arc. But they are! Rihoko continues to act as the central character, or at least as a co-protagonist with Junichi mark V to great results. In a way, it’s almost [...]

As usual, I’m pretty behind. But has anyone else noticed that the narrator, in this arc of Amagami (Sae’s arc), talks a lot about the wheel of fate? Most of what I saw about Amagami talked about it as an amorphous form going through the motions of a VN in a TV show. I think [...]

Everyone’s at the ice rink and because of Rihoko’s lack of ability to skate, Junichi helps her out. After skating we see Rihoko knitting gloves for Junichi as a Christmas present. One lunch time at school, the other members of the tea club apart from Rihoko, Yuzuki Ruriko and Hiba Manaka introduces themselves to Junichi [...]

Rihoko Sakurai set out her not inconsiderable stall (I said stall, not rack, you perverts) as my favourite Amagami SS in the first episode of her story arc last time around - that said, it would have been nice if they'd achieved a little more with this latest instalment of said arc...
After Kanae succeeded in setting up a skating "date" involving Tachibana and Sakurai, this instalment kicks off

Episode 18 – Assistance – テツダイTetsudai) We normally get the Christmas episode as the last episode per arc, but this time around, this doesn’t seem to be the case. With two or so more episodes left in this arc, I was taken by surprise when this episode was revealed to be the Christmas episode. I [...]

My fellow Anime-ians, our long Amagami nightmare is over. Our arc makes sense again; our great Amagami is a show of light romance and comedy and not of incoherent plot. Here the fun and coherency rules. And there is a higher purpose for this show, whatever we may imagine it as, that ordains not only [...]
