One of my very very favorite song. I think I played this hundred times by years, and I don't feel tired of it. Winding Road is a beautiful sad love story -- or simply we call it ballad, that was chosen as the first closing song for Tenpou Ibun Ayakashi Ayashi. Though formally, it looks easy to play or sing, I think a preparation is still needed. For singer, you really need to make sure that your pitch and "sliding" voice is in the correct tune. If voice part is taken over by music instrument, the strings -- would be the best choice because it can perform "glide" and or "glissando". The music instrument that really take advantage of this song is probably bassist which can perform freely and may create a lot of improvisation on each part. Number two, drummer might have the possibility. To perform this with pure acoustic instruments, whether a minimalist or in a grande way, is very possible. The use of guitar and piano as the only accompaniment would sound very sweet. While if you want to perform with a mini chamber or strings chamber, the result, I believe is a WOW! So just try it. Anyway, the reason I took Tenpou Ibun Ayakashi Ayashi on this month theme is clear. It's all about spirit slayer and it's very Japanese. The story set up in historical events. Also, if you want to know how a kanji had formed and given meaning, this show is a must. Sadly, the series was forced to finished too soon while it could be longer. Anyway, just give a try to watch. Exactly a month ago, I post a transcribed sheet music from Tenpou Ibun Ayakashi Ayashi called Reconciliation. So, this will be the second one. Still suits beginner, the tune is pretty basic. Violinist will not encounter difficulty since the range is only 2 octaves. I think the same goes to other instruments, as long as the range fits it. Hello again and I hope you guys are in full spirit to start your routine back. I come up with Tenpou Ibun Ayakashi Ayashi, as one of my favorite anime. It's pity that the story was 'forced' to finish so soon. For an anime with ancient period as the background, this is surely interesting. Why? Simply because Ootani Kou - the composer, tried to make the whole OST has energy from 'today'. It does not necessarily has to be sounded with Japanese traditional music structures, instead, he plays around with jazz and chinese influence. Reconciliation is one of his work in this anime with chinese influence and easy mood style. I do believe beginner-intermediate violinist can play this. The highest note is E (mi), so it means you will encounter changing position. For beginners, force the part 1 octave lower so you will be able to handle it. Both tune and chords are pretty simple. So I believe most of beginners whom learning other instrument can play this sheet as well.
