I apologize for the lateness of this article, but I've had limited Internet while on vacation. North American anime distributor Bandai Entertainment was out in full force at Otakon 2010 in Baltimore, packing their panel room to capacity (something only achieved by a select few panels all weekend) and drawing a large group of anime press. Bandai's two big acquisitions were Sora Kakeru Shōjo (The Girl Who Leapt Through Space, a.k.a. "SoraKake Girl") and My Otome o~S.ifr~ (the 3-episode OAV prequel to My Otome), both of which seem a little too unmarketable to be honest choices from Bandai's North American division. The most likely explanation is that both series were forced on BEA by their Japanese parent company or sold in a package deal. Meanwhile, Bandai also fleshed out two of their existing licenses: Gundam Unicorn and K-ON! The second volume of the 6-episode Gundam OAV series (entitled "The Second Coming of Char") will run slightly longer than the first episode at 59 minutes, and the Blu-ray will also feature 29 minutes of bonus footage. It will be available November 2010 in the Bandai Store (street date price $44.99, pre-order $39.98). At other online retailers it will sell for an SRP of $59.98 (barring those stores' individual markdowns). On the moé front, K-ON! — the slice-of-life series about a group of high school girls in a light music club — will be receiving an English dub from Bandai's mainstays at Bang Zoom Entertainment, including Stephanie Sheh (who was present at the panel) as Yui and Christina Zee (who showed up in-costume to sing a batch of K-ON!'s songs) as Mio.

I am getting busy...and I admit K-ON is not on my priority list that's why this is a late post, and so is Episode 17. But I will really try to be on time. SOON. The whole episode centered on how Azu-nyan wants to practice but gets distracted by a lot of things. Asuza gets really influenced by her senpai so much that she gets caught up by their loose attitude. She can even imitate the attitude of all of her senpais, which really bothered her. Throughout the episode, she tries to go back to her diligent side, but the odds of her being distracted by various stuffs are always there. Well, Yui's been into stickers in this episode and has been sticking in to everything that she sees. Mugi sleeping in the club room is really cute and her efforts to play the guitar is also nice to watch. I didn't know that Ritsu can cook? And she is really good! And this hinted that we will hear Mugi's song in the Budoukan. OMGEE. I am so excited. And while every club is getting crazy about the upcoming festival, HTT is still having the time of their lives. And when Azu-nyan is asked about HTT's preparation for the festival, all she can do is blush.

K-ON!! 2nd OP Utauyo!! MIRACLE and 2nd ED NO, Thank You! singles were released on August 4. The first day of sales, the single NO, Thank You! recorded 28,916 sold copies and ranked #2 on the Oricon daily single chart. The opening single Utauyo!! MIRACLE recorded a bit fewer sold copies, 28,172, and followed on the #3 rank. The following day, they sold 26,989 and 26,686 copies respectively, and ranked the same on the Oricon chart.As expected, K-ON releases sell very well again and outrank other regular CDs. Well done! I'm glad that K-ON made it into the top 3 again and particularly the ending song really deserves it, I think. A few days ago, I was woken up at 5 AM, but it was very pleasant since it was caused by somebody listening to NO, Thank You! ^^
