Although I hadn't had any interest in this series until two days ago, when I found out it has such great cast I decided to give Kampfer a try and I'm very glad I did so. How to characterize it in a few words? Nice animation, good seiyuu performance (of course, especially by Yukarin, and Hocchan), abnormal fights, a trap, and a lot of fan-service.It seems to be about a fight between Blue Kampfers and Red Kampfers. Yes, who are Kampfers? Well, Kampfers are some fighters and they have to be women. And that's the point here. The main character is a boy named Natsuru, and he has become a Kampfer. Which means, whenever he turns into Kampfer, he takes on a female form. So this is one big of a trap.Mukyaaa! How come a boy can turn into such a cute girl?!His chest inflates and even his butt changes its shape. In every anime with magical girls there are plushies who can talk and know almost everything. In Kampfer, there have appeared two so far. The one in the picture is named Harakiri Tiger, and the other one is Black Bunny Seppuku (both harakiri and seppuku are Japanese ritual suicides). The transforming scene was pretty nice. Good job, J.C.Staff.The breeze must be a new sensation for him/her.This toilet scene was quite fun, too.References are not missing in this series. And they are pretty bold. That is Black Bunny Seppuku in the picture. And it is voiced by Tamura Yukari. She sounds like a badass there ^^And the girl who is whirling it is voiced by Horie Yui.I quite enjoyed the first episode and I'm sure I will watch this series. Despite some distortions, the animation was done pretty well, as you would expect from J.C.Staff. The battles looked quite cool, too. My only complaint is that the voice of Natsuru in his male form sounds very girlish and doesn't match his appearance. But both his male and female forms are voiced by the same seiyuu, Inoue Marina, so it's a mitigating circumstance.I can't wait to see what Mizuki Nana's character will look and sound like. It is called Yamaneko (mountain cat) so it will most likely be another plush doll.If you like comedies with some action, traps, and occasional fanservice, you might consider giving Kampfer a try.
