First of all, sorry for the HORRIBLE screencaps… I think it has something to do with the subs I downloaded. Next time, I would be downloading a different fansubber for this anime.
Jin was surprised to find a magic wand glued straight atop of his table so immediately raids Nagi for the blame. Nagi then blames [...]

Mike: What is it that makes me like this show so far? Is it the very catchy OP song? (I have it stuck in my head right now.) Or the not-quite-as-cliched interaction between Jin and Nagi, though objectively speaking it’s not anything particularly new? I’m not sure, really. All that I know is that [...]

There are SO many yummy shows so far this season. I wish I had time to fully blog about them all. But, you know, it’s still volleyball season…
Ridiculous lack of screencaps within. Very few spoilers, though.

I was gonna go on a rant about how really-kinda-pointless that whole episode was.
BUT then I saw the [...]

Fall’s unexpected bright spot
The other day, Jason asked me what the dark horse this season was. The True Tears, if you will.
Seems like I haven’t seen enough to make a real judgment yet, but to my surprise I answered pretty quickly: Kannagi.
What a catch! If asked to sum it up, I’d say Kabitzin suddenly became [...]

Pizza Hut advertises for Code Geass, when C.C. ate those yummy pizza hut, a van owned by Pizza Hut and Darker than Black outside the window and Moar Pizza Hut banners and post cards for Nagi.
Remember the good ‘ol days with Code Geass and DtB?
Yeah! More power to our lovely Pizza!

You know what they say. A way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.
I wasn’t really as impressed by this episode as I was with the first episode. However, I still found it quite enjoyable despite all the cliques being hammered into my brain. I mean come on, a childhood friend that takes care [...]

The opening episode of Kannagi left me, quite simply, wanting more - Although it's always difficult to judge any anime from a single episode, there was enough on show to suggest an enjoyable series ahead. If this second instalment was anything to go by, my initial gut feeling was absolutely right.
It's hard to worry too much about the plot of this particular episode, as it's really just an

Somehow, I think it’d have been awesome as a tabletop ornament. Jun begs to differ though. I should try it out sometime anyway.

Kannagi’s a fukken riot, seriously. Although I don’t get what the heck happened with the whole “absorption” shtick Nagi’s got going on. It could be due to the fact that she’s [...]

10/14/2008 04:38 AM UTCKannagi: They’re Definitely Crazy, But They’re Definitely Amazing >>
It may just be me, but I’m inordinately pleased with Kannagi. I’ve no idea what the Takenashi Eri manga is like, having not read it, but it looks like I may just have to (in that nebulous point in the future known as “someday”) since the anime verious is amazingly well-done. I talked a little [...]

Kannagi continues to be the most delightful watch for me this season, with Nagi-sama’s antics continued.
This episode follows quite well to the manga story although there are a few continuity changes in regards to Tsugumi’s appearances. There’s also the fact they are bent on making Jin much more of a pervert than he was [...]

I’m glad this series finally got its second season! Just as the first season, nothing is completely clear yet and we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. Luckily, the art in this series didn’t change at all and it was still simply beautiful. Though, I did find it [...]

Time for more anime impressions. This time it’s Kannagi, one of the titles I was particularly looking forward too. This show had the distinction of being the only one of the season that I was familiar with the source material. Will that help or hinder the anime adaptation in my mind?

10/09/2008 08:18 PM UTCKannagi - Episode 1 - Touhou is still better, except that ZUN can’t draw. >>
Well, yeah, Touhou did kind of monopolize the whole Shrine Miko thing, complete with armpits and whatnot.
Regardless of that, Kannagi is still enjoyable. Comparing it to Touhou would be like comparing armpits and manpits. Entirely different worlds altogether.
Whilst I don’t read the manga, it’s rather certain that the premise is as such: Young, impressionable child [...]
