Morita Mayu is always hanging out with her friend Murakoshi Miki. Mayu is a very quiet girl, but Miki is a total motor mouth. What kind of conversations do these two classmates have? And will fellow classmate Matsuzaka Hana get over her fear of Mayu's eyes for long enough to strike up a conversation with her..?
That's a short description, but then this is a damned short show, with each episode clocking in at around 3 minutes. Suffice to say, if I stick with it for the full run I'm not going to bother with episode summaries. With Mayu being the title character, she's the one that gets the most of the screentime - which is a little off-putting, as she never actually speaks other that in her own mind. "Shy" is the official description but, as Hana has found, "intense" would be more accurate at times. Strange girl. Fortunately Miki and Hana are on hand to stop her from completely dominating things.
As for plot - it seems to be about Mayu's efforts to come out of her shell a little, done in a style that Azumanga Daioh and its ilk would be happy with. 3 minute episodes are a bit short, but then 25 minutes of this would probably be too long, too. If it were full-length episodes I probably wouldn't bother, but I'm not really wasting any time watching 3-minute chunks, so...
THE GOOD: Fun. And at these short episode lengths, that's really all it's got time to be.
THE BAD: Too short. Wouldn't need full-length episodes either, mind, but 3 minutes is just too little to get anything memorable into.
...still a keeper. More for curiosity than anything else, though.
