Aw, hell yeah! When I finished watching and reviewing Natsume Yuujinchou, the first season, I desperately wanted more. And you have no idea of how pee-in-my-pants-happy I was when I found out that there was a second season, Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou. After watching that, I was very impressed and couldn't deny it the near perfect score.Being an episodic anime, very much like Kino's Journey and Mushishi, it seemed that this franchise could keep going on, since the over-arching plot was very thin. The manga (still in publication) had completed several arcs more than the two seasons, yet no new season was announced.Until today, that is.The third season, titled Natsume Yuujinchou-san, was announced in theApril isse of Lala magazine. The scan is attached above. The returning cast members are Takahiro Omori (director at Brains Base), Akira Takata (character designer), Tatsuo Yamada (yokai/ayakashi designer), Yukihiro Shibutani (art director), Yumi Miyawaki (color setting artist), Hitoshi Tamura (photography) and Kazuhiko Seki (editor). The only new member (known till now) is Sadayuki Murai of Millenium Actress fame, to be the new series script superviser. The official release date is yet to be announced, but I think it'll be somewhere around late 2011, if not Winter 2012. Nothing concrete as of now.The 11th compiled book volume of the Natsume's Book of Friends manga will ship in Japan on March 4.Source: ANN
