Onii-chan no Koto Nanka Zenzen Suki Ja Nai n Dakara ne!!, loosely translated "I don't like my big brother at all!!", is quite an entertaining anime of the winter season, being a kind of a replacement or successor of last season's anime whose title is only a bit shorter, Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai. What these two series have in common, besides their long names, is that the main female leads are tsundere imouto characters, one of whom outwardly pretends not to be interested in their brother, whilst the other one goes as far as to try to deceive her true inner feelings. Both, however, hold their brothers dear and love them, despite their behavior indicating the very opposite sometimes. So much for comparing the main heroines. Onii-chan no Koto Nanka Zenzen Suki Ja Nai n Dakara ne!! is basically another anime with many stereotypes: imouto loves her onii-chan, the main hero is quite a perv, main hero's friends are at least as corrupted as he, osananajimi (childhood friend) makes appearance, etc. However, I'm somebody who doesn't mind the stereotypes repeating on and on as they have been proven to bring about a lot of laughter.Shuusuke, the brother in question - they're not actually related by blood, though - is a scrofulous member of a licentious clique that consists of four cherry boys, as they usually refer to male virgins. His interest in feminine curves is relentless and his sister gives him a plenty of opportunities to feast his eyes. But since his sister is flat-chested, his sight tends to wander off upon some more curvaceous girls. Alternatively, he seeks pleasure in ero magazines which he's collected. At one point of time, his collection was as hu~ge as... I don't know what, but anyways, it was really huge ^^A childhood friend Iroha, a blond-haired girl, is doing her utmost to seduce Shuusuke and make him her own, though to scarce avail. Her attempts are very daring and that, of course, upsets Shuusuke's imouto Nao, who is trying to strike back.Don't expect any complex story in this anime. It's a laugh series with a love triangle and that's it. No more, no less. The character design is unusual, characters being very, very lanky and having large ears and extremely slim necks and arms, as though they all suffered from Marfan's syndrome XD Nevertheless, it needs some time getting used to but after that, it's fine.Kitamura Eri's and Inoue Marina's performances as Nao and Iroha, respectively, are very good so far. They are good fits for the roles as they both have what is needed for their respective characters. Try to imagine a combination of greatly voiced Kokonoe Rin and Kawashima Ami, both of whom have been voiced by Kitamura Eri, and you get Nao.The opening theme song is sung by Kitamura Eri and it's a lively cute song. The ending theme song is performed by the three main female characters' seiyuu, Kitamura Eri, Inoue Marina, and Aranami Kazusa. It's a fast-paced, upbeat, energetic song, very fitting for this kind of anime, and I like it.I can recommend you this anime if you can watch anime without an actual plot and if you like humor based on ecchi. For instance, if you enjoyed Kiss x Sis, or Green Green, or Kodomo no Jikan, you're likely to enjoy Onii-chan no Koto too. This post has been written as a submission to StarChild giveaway at Danny's site.
