Finally an episode about Pumpkin Scissors' past, which included some things like how it came to be, what jobs they used to be assigned to, and also a small glimpse of character interactions back then. Even though 98% of this episode was flashback, it was done in a decent manner which wasn't very boring. Everyone loves stories right?!?

Well, this was a nice little romance story. I've been hungering for some Oreld development ever since we caught a glimpse of where he grew up, and this episode "kind of" delivered. I say kind of because we don't see his past, but what we do see is that despite Oreld's flirtatious nature, he's really a gentleman. And as we know, this world is in serious lack of gentlemen in both the Pumpkin Scissors world and the real world. Plus I'm kinda girly and I just love romance stories and this was kind of a romance story so kudos for that.

I kind of liked the approach they took with this episode, but the material inside of the episode just kinda blew. The X hours ago style usually works when the buildup of events is a little more significant. We didn't really feel like pieces were finally being connected or anything, but rather just watching a sequence of rather predictable events. If, for instance, the pieces all seemed unrelated, but then converged in the end, THEN I would have been impressed.

OKAY, yes it's been 4 weeks, this I know. A bizarre string of events including downloading the episodes four times as well as changing my location 3 times which has made all of this possible. In fact, me being absent of Pumpkin Scissors for a couple weeks might have made this episode more enjoyable than it really is. I guess most of the anime this season is utter crap, and so after watching stuff like Crecent Love, this doesn't look so bad. Also, it helps that I can't really remember the previous episode which apparently was crappy.
