Hello again everyone,
While surfing on the web, I encountered this confirmation (rather old information to be truthful, but seems to be official) that Strike Witches is going to have a third season or an OVA series in the near future. (2011 likely)
Yes, I got into complete despair. (Very much like Nozomu from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei every episode)
Why you say? Well, the story of Strike Witches, while it had many faults and be considered by many "naive" or "stupid" (and it is true to a certain extend), it had a satisfactory ending.
The world is saved, everyone is happy! The neuroi are routed from both Gallia and Venezia and the squad is disbanded for two times in a row! What can you expect more from this?!
Now why are they doing a third season after such a conclusive ending?
Let's ask them "how?". Are they going to make some new neuroi type appear and rehash the same fight, the same characters, maybe with more fanservice than ever?
Didn't they already milk enough the cow with these 2 seasons, massive number of audio-cd and even a couple of crappy game with an apocalyptic price-tag?
There is anyway a slight chance to make me happy, and it is to adapt the original light novels!
That would be a nice change of pace and we'll get new characters, new story, new fanservice too (even thought the level would be different as the light novel are far more serious), new everything...
But well, giving the success of the anime seasons (I heard they sold a massive DVD quantity), I doubt they'll risk something so dangerous while they can milk money redoing the same thing over and over again.
Well, let's stop ranting and watch the positive light of this situation. I'll get more and more scenes of my Erica. (and Sanya isn't bad to be honest. )
Ah, forgot to say one thing! Tomorrow we're celebrating the first month from the creation of this blog, so prepare for some summary post with statistics and some info about the new things I'm planning to do in the future!
That's all for now,
