The latest episode of the ASOS Brigade is up, and this week, Haruhi is screening a movie-- and it's not The Adventures of Mikuru Asahina. No, Bandai Entertainment has acquired the rights to The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. At last! <object width="640" height="385"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/wzhiNpZyNPQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&"> </param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"> </param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/wzhiNpZyNPQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385" wmode="transparent"> </embed></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"> </param></object> Even better-- for me at least --it'll screen in San Francisco at VIZ Cinemas in the New People center on May 21st. Which means I'm gonna go check it out and come back and report to those of you who can't make it. There are also screenings in Hawaii, and more to be revealed later. The DVD's release date is currently TBA-- but yes, it WILL include an English dub by Bang Zoom, and presumably the original English dub cast, since they're back together for season 2 anyway. By the by-- if there are enough Bay Area Vice Squad members, maybe we can put together some kinda party for the May 21st screening. Let me know in the comments! As for the rest of you, feel free to rejoice. Or whine that there's no word on when there might be a DVD or otherwise more accessible release. (I wonder if Crunchyroll might stream the movie later on?...) <object width="640px" height="513px"> <param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/nPxRuJVUd1c&hl=en_US&fs=1&"> </param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"> </param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"> <embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/nPxRuJVUd1c&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640px" height="513px" wmode="transparent"> </embed></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"> </param></object> PRESS RELEASE: Bandai Entertainment Acquires The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumia; E-Store Launches
