Asatte no Houkou... even the episode was named after the series.Karada came to a city in where she planned to start her new life so that she would no longer burden her Hiro-nii. In the last episode, she realised that her brother had made a big sacrifice by leaving Shouko behind in America just to come back to Japan after their parents died to live with her after looking at the photo of her brother together with Shouko. However, starting a whole new life wasn't as easy as expected. She had to look for a place to stay, and at the meantime, look for a job for herself so that she can continue living on. This is mainly what happened in this episode. As soon as she reached the station which funnily, didn't have many people around except for a ticket booth guard and a taxi driver, she went over to a house renting company to find some place to stay. However, she was sadden, looking at all the expensive apartments available for rent. She then decided to have breakfast over at a fastfood restaurant. "Usually people won't use pencil to fill in a CV.." Her first attempt to look for a job was in a restaurant. She had noticed an advertistment on the menu board with an offer to work with the restaurant. Karada took the opportunity to go for an interview, but she was directly turned down because she hadn't prepare a CV (a resume). She then went to a stationery shop to buy a set of CV papers as well as a guidebook on how to fill in the CV papers. After that, she had her second attempt in a bookshop in where the manager had turned her down because there were mistakes in the CV. She didn't have a photo attached, plus she used a pencil to fill in the CV... and worst of all, she had written that she was only 12. *Orz* "Sorry but I'm only a small manager here. I will have to ask the owner first."Karada's determination was strong as she didn't gave up. She took a photo of herself in a photo booth, rewrote another CV using another name *Satou Hanako* and age *20*, and then went for another interview in a food stall. This time, the person in-charged of interviewing Karada decided to hire her, but she told Karada that she would still have to ask the owner to confirm. Karada left the spot sadden once again.Karada staying under the slide for the night...She went around town before sitting by the roadside. This is when three punks approached her and offered her to have some tea and then karaoke. Karada was frighten and she flee from them. Then, she met with someone who had offered her a job, but when she found out that it was some sexual work, she didn't even said a word and once again ran away. It started to rain and she had to call it a day. In the end, she spent a night in the playground under the slide.Karada looking at her brother who had returned from America..She had a dream. It was a memory of hers. She recalls about her parents showing her a photo of her elder borther who is studying in America. She became enthuastic to meet her brother. However one day, she accidently heard her parents talking to themselves that they weren't her real parents. Karada started to cry out loud. The days goes on. Her parents treated her better than before. However, Karada still wondered whether the brother in America would think of her as his sister... The end has to come some day as Karada's parents died in the hospital. Hiro returned from America. He met his sister, Karada. They rented a room and started a new life together. However, Karada knew that Hiro had been sacrificing a lot for her sake, and so, she had been wishing to the wishing rock that she can grow up as soon as possible to free Hiro-nii from having to take care of her. Now that her wish is granted, she did as what she had planned to: leave. She realised that her wish hadn't bring happiness to anyone. This part honestly made me cried as I tried to follow and sing the song which was playing in the background. When the *tut* sound from the hospital became continuous, I felt as if... I don't know how to describe it, as if someone had died; but someone had indeed died! The taxi driver had a look at Karada to see whether she's okay. The next morning, Karada reappeared in front of the train station. However, she was very weak and pale. The taxi driver from a day earlier decided to offer her a can of coffee but instead, Karada ran off into the station. Without knowing, she dropped one of the CVs she prepared for her next interview and the taxi driver picked it up. The taxi driver then called back to the phone number stated at the CV and reached the Iokawa's residence. Hiro picked up the call. He, at first wasn't convinced with what the taxi driver said, but then he changed his mind.Hiro chasing the train, asking Karada to come back.On the other hand, Karada was still waiting for a train. Suddenly, she saw... Hiro! He was at the opposite of the railway. Karada immidiately got onboard a train as Hiro saw her. Hiro climbed the overhead bridge across the railway, but as he reached the other side, it was too late. The door was shut tight and the train started to leave the station. Karada's eyes started to roll tears as Hiro helplessly look at the train leave.
