Along with the appearance of these "gates" comes "Contractors," people with remarkable abilities. But the abilities aren't the only thing that sets Contractors apart. Contractors are emotionless beings operating on logic (hello, Spock) and in addition to their abilities they must pay a "remuneration," an OCD-like need to perform an act after using their powers. This can be anything from breaking one's own fingers to singing to eating cigarettes.The first season revolved entirely around a man named Hei. I won't spoil anything for you, but I will tell you it was pretty badass. In the second season it appears to revolve more around a young girl with a sniper rifle, along with plenty of our old pals from the first season-- including Hei. While the series has no set air date, fans in Osaka will be able to check out the first episode early, between Sept. 18th and 23rd.
