Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu - This Shit Is Still Really Funny Caught up on this series tonight and I must reiterate, this show’s gold. It employs every anime cliche I despise from harems to cross-dressing to yanderes to cute-girls-who-are-bad-at-cooking to big-breasted incestuous older sisters, but it undermines them all with sheer retardedness and a dry comic delivery. Unfortunately the romance is all bogus since it’s undermined the same way, as much as I want to ship Yuuji and Shouko TT_TT But that’s a small price to pay, since I laugh out loud pretty much every episode at the protagonist’s attempts to survive on salad oil and salt water and the overdramatic deaths of “Mussolini” the class perv. See above - anime cliche no. 352, cute girl comes to wake up her childhood friend with breakfast in bed. Cue soft morning light and mood music. And this deadpan scene: Shouko: Good morning, Yuuji. The weather is beautiful today. Would you like some breakfast? Yuuji: Shouko. Can you pass me my cellphone? *dials 911* Yuuji: Hello, is this the police? Somebody broke into my house.
