Rising moe voice Taketatsu Ayana (Azu-nyan in K-On) will star in Tamayura, a new OVA series by the director of ARIA, Satou Junichi.The "healing" slice-of-life anime is slated to come out next January, but there will be a preview broadcast of episode one on 4 September on Japanese satellite channel AT-X.For her first year of high school, a young girl moves to Takehara, a scenic old town near Hiroshima, on the Inland Sea. Her father, who has passed away, grew up in Takehara. She loves taking photographs with his old film camera, a Rollei 35S.This "healing anime" follows her and the friends who gather around her as she comes to love her new home.Co-starring with Aya-nyan are Asumi Kana (Poplar in Working!!), Iguchi Yuka (Index), and Gibu Yuuko (Akira in Sweet Blue Flowers).The staff list is studded with names who worked on the ARIA shows. The script will be written by top writer Yoshida Reiko (Marimite, scripts for ARIA) -- although Satou Junichi himself created the story and is credited with series composition. Character designer Iizuka Haruko did Sisters of Wellber, Umi Monogatari (also by Satou), and some work on ARIA shows. Animation director Onchi Masayuki did Sweet Blue Flowers, and worked on ARIA. Art Director Tajiri Kenichi did Princess Tutu, Sketchbook, and Aria the Origination. The OP will be sung by Sakamoto Maaya. It will be the old song by Yuming, Yasashisa ni Kuramareta nara. Music for the show itself is by composer Nakajima Nobuyuki. He did music for the recent film version of No Longer Human, but this is his first anime. The radio show has already begun, featuring the four main seiyuus.
