Takashi and company fool around in the Takagi mansion. It seems that when the group member are not fighting for survival, they are fooling around. Summary: Takashi and fellow survivors from the high school spend time trying to relax, but they begin to grow uneasy due to the lack of zombie-action and the fact that everyone else working at the mansion is treating them like kids. Saya is also pissed at her parents for organizing efforts to save the locals instead of coming to her rescue. The high school survivors call a meeting to decide whether to stay with the big group or go off on their own again, and during the meeting Saya starts to rail against her parents, but Takashi calms things down by grabbing Saya by the collar and lifting her off the ground. After Saya calms down, the group's attention is drawn out the window where Saya's father Souichirou Takagi has returned. Souichirou, a stern and powerful man wielding a sword, puts on a public demonstration in front of a crowd of survivors by executing one of his former comrades who has turned into a zombie. I don't think this is what Mrs. Takagi meant when she told Takashi to talk to Saya. They don't look too convinced. After seeing the public execution, Kohta goes off about how guns are better than swords. Saeko obviously disagrees, and Takashi tries to calm Kohta down but Kohta comments that Takashi can't shoot worth a damn and runs off. Later in day, Alice tries to play peacemaker to get Kohta and Takashi to make up, but instead Alice reports to Takashi that Kohta is in trouble. Out in the yard, Kohta is surrounded by several people who work for the Takagi family who want to confiscate Kohta's guns. The commotion has drawn the attention of Saya's parents, and Saya's father starts questioning Kohta about why he needs the guns. Kohta is unable to give a convincing answer, but Takashi, Saya, and the others from the highschool come forward to vouch for Kohta. They might be a ragtag group, but at least they stick together. Elsewhere in the compound, one of Shido's followers phones back to Shido who is still on the school bus where an orgy is taking place. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A comparatively slow episode this week. There wasn't any real zombie action, and the fan service was reserved to Rei getting her massages and the orgy bus at the end where you don't see anything beyond what the series has shown already. There were plenty of scenes that didn't make much sense, but unfortunately they weren't as (unintentionally) funny as what happened in the last two episodes. Let's go over the highlights (or lowlights) anyways since I have nothing else to write about. First of all, Takashi showed once again that he likes to take a hands-on approach to handling girls, and by hands-on I mean handling girls violently. First episode he slapped Rei to get her to listen, and now he manhandles Saya to calm her down. It's not that Takashi is a bad guy, but he has his own set of emotional issues. Saya can be quite annoying, but there is no question that Takashi has the makings of becoming an abusive husband. I think the only girl who will be able to stand him is Saeko since she's calm most of the time and can kick Takashi's ass whenever she wants to. Secondly, there was the public execution of questionable effectiveness. The demonstration was probably effective in scaring the survivors into obeying the rules and reminding them of the grim realities of the world, but it doesn't exactly boost morale. I'm also not sure if having the zombie head fly into the fountain was the best idea, although assuming the water system is well designed then nobody in the compound will be drinking that water. Lastly, there was Kohta's meltdown after people tried to take his guns away. I understand that Kohta felt that his purpose was threatened, but I'm not sure how the public execution suddenly led to him going off about how guns are better than swords. I thought Kohta was fun when he was switching between his meek and gun-otaku personalities, but this episode he was pretty pathetic. At least the others did stick up for him though. Next week's should be a bit more interesting as everyone's (least) favorite preacher Shido returns with his orgy bus, but the lack of zombie action in the preview means that things still haven't picked up yet.
