The Lost Millennium kidnap Phryne, prompting the temple to send forces to Granitz Village. "She's heavier than she looks."You just need to work out more, Sundas. Summary: Phryne arrives at the prayer site and completes the ceremony. After the download, the regular people come to their senses and start to panic when they see the dead bodies around them. Sunda and the Lost Millenium change plans and unleash gas grenades to cover their escape. Sunda nabs Phryne in the chaos, while Enri gets Nessa and Clain to get back onto Lost Millennium's flying ship. The Lost Millennium successfully escape, leaving the Nessa look-alike to gaze after them. People who don't like Nessa can't touch her, and so maybe Nessa can't touch people whom she doesn't like. On the flying ship, Clain concludes that Sunda are friends are a bunch of terrorists and goes with Nessa to free Phryne who is tied up in the cargo hold. After being untied, Phryne slaps Clain and is angry at him for releasing Nessa, but of course Clain has no idea why Phryne is angry. Nessa is angry that Phryne hit Clain and tries to clobber Phryne but Nessa can't touch Phryne. Sunda then arrives and takes Phryne away for a chat. During the talk, Sunda asks why Phryne ran away from the temple and Nessa's purpose is, but Phryne's only answer was that she agrees the Fractale System should be allowed to fail. At the temple's headquarters, Head Priestess Moeran puts Sunda and his family on the wanted list. Back at Granitz Village, Sunda and the other members of Granitz family prepare to leave on the airship due to the wanted orders. Meanwhile, Clain walks away from the village with Nessa, but he notices one of the temple's ship flying overhead towards the village. The temple ship drops combat robots and soldiers to suppress the villagers, and the Granitzes are fighting the temple's forces while readying their own retreat. Close encounter of the nth kind. You are not getting rid of me that easily. Not after just one date. Away from the village, Clain sees Phryne climbing out of the tower she is being held at and wants to go to her. Nessa doesn't want Clain to go, but Clain ignores her and runs to Phryne. Phyrne isn't in the mood to talk and hops on a motorcycle to escape from the temple forces, but Clain doesn't want to get ditched again and jumps on to the bike. The two are then chased by the temple's ship and then cornered near a cliff. The temple's task force commander demands Phryne go back with him, but Phryne instead drives the bike off the cliff. Phryne and Clain both land on Lost Millennium's flying ship, the the flying ship hammers the temple's ship and troops with missiles before flying off. On the ship, Clain wonders if Nessa had come aboard, but unbeknownst to him Nessa is still standing on the cliff side watching the ship fly away. Can't believe that stupid Clain ditched me for that tramp Phryne. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After taking things easy for the first two and a half episodes, Fractale is turning into somewhat of an action show. Another battle this week, and there is some emotional conflicts as well now that Phryne is back in the picture right in between Clain and Nessa. Phryne is appearing to be somewhat of a pain for Clain, but part of it should be blamed on Clain's own clingyness. Clain's insistence of staying with Phryne drew some cute jealousy from Nessa, and it looks like Clain, Nessa and Phryne have a few things to work out in their relationships. The thing that the episode was short on though was answers. If you were wondering who's the Nessa look-alike or Phryne's reasons for going to the ceremony or running away from the temple, this episode does little to answer those questions. Instead, the episode raises more questions, such as why Phryne is so angry that Clain released Nessa and what is the intention of the temple if they know that the Fractale System is failing. From what we've seen so far, neither the Lost Millennium (especially Sundas) or the priestesses appear to be "the good guys", so Clain probably needs to strike out on his own and/or convince people to help him out. As to what Clain needs to do, that's one more question to the growing list. Fractale is doing a good job building up the situation, but I'm hoping we'll get some answers soon.
