Blame gaming and laziness I tell ya! Anyways, going to start off with a game review before anything else... This time featuring Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2! First of all, mad props to the whole team for bringing this out. To be perfectly honest, I was disappointed a bit since I wanted some more missions here and there and more characters to play with, but the amount they provide is rather sufficient. Just blame me and my wanting to play with more characters. 42 playable characters are enough, I just wanted more... Well what to say? Graphics were awesome and did not disappoint any. I was amazed with the way the locations were designed and I loved how the cinematics were made on and off fights. Felt like I was watching the anime and all that. That leads me now to talk about the storyline. You start off at the beginning of the Shippūden series and you make your way through the plot until the conclusion from your battle with Pein/Pain. Do note that some scenes are shortened and not shown to be as how it happened in the manga/anime. Notably Asuma's death. I do remember him being tortured first before dying. Anyways, before I veer of course, I'll get back to the point at hand. The story is shortened and 'censored' if you will and as a 'fan' of the franchise, I didn't mind the cut. I would have been frankly annoyed if we had to sit through the whole full retelling of the series during our gameplay. Going through the storyline is merely playing the game in Ultimate Adventure Mode (UAM) till the very end. The whole unlocking characters through SP and trophy/achievements gathering kind of makes you want to go through it anyways and not just play online or play free battles. UAM provides you with a grand map of Konohagakure, Sunagakure, Amegakure and stuff in between them. Tenchi Bridge, Orochimaru's hideouts, Forest of Death, etc... I would admit I kind of find it annoying to go from location to location just to do one request and end up going back again because something was there. But oh well, that's what you get for wanting a 100% in the game and that platinum trophy no? UAM offers a few missions and multitudes of request from different clients. Much more is that it offers you the whole friendship level so you can view those friendship scenes or whatnot. Always liked or detested those gathering materials thing? Well, this game has that. But more amazing thing are the boss battles. Before finishing a chapter, you have to go through a boss battle and I tell you, they are amazingly fun. That was one of my favorites caused I just loved smashing Pain/Pein's face in during the whole Sage Mode. So like other smashing games, this features the multiplayer parts 1P Vs 2P/COM or COM vs COM. Don't forget about the online versus mode now either. If you are new to the series and wanted to get this for the whole purpose of it being a smash-bash type game, then I think you might be quite disappointed. It totally lacks the depth of others in the same category. I honestly think this is more towards the fans of the series than a general populace, but oh well... For those who prefer dubbed voices or original voices, then the game provides you the choice of both audio. I started watching the series in JAP so I stick with it, I just find the ENG to be weird. My opinion of course, not dissing the dubbed voices or anything. Overall I would give this game a 7.5 over 10 rating... Oh and by the way, how do you record PS3 videos in high quality? I want to start recording my stuff and post them on a video site or something!
